Final three-day test session opens tomorrow at Jerez
The GP2 Series field is back on track this week for the second pre-season test session of the year at the Circuito de Jerez, Spain. The teams and drivers will carry out a three-day programme from Tuesday 29th to Thursday 31th March in order to prepare for the twelfth season of the category. Racing will commence at Barcelona on May 13th alongside the Formula One Grand Prix.
The driver entry list remains mostly unchanged with the exception of Carlin which will enter only one driver on Day 1 with Marvin Kirchhöfer returning at the wheel of car #19. Status Grand Prix will not take part to this test session.
Pirelli have selected two compounds for these three days: Hard (Prime) and Medium (Option). Each driver will be supplied with five sets of Prime and two sets of Option.
On the first two days, the session will run from 09.00 until 12.00, and from 14.00 until 17.00. On the final day (Thursday), the afternoon session will run from 13.00 until 16.00.
